Where a Portuguese local finds the best tapas (or petiscos) in the Southeast Corner of Adelaide
Life In My Hood - South East Corner, Adelaide
Filmed by Nuno Abrantes
Spain has its tapas, but Portugal calls its snacks petiscos. So where does a Portuguese resident of Adelaide find the best? We asked Nuno Abrantes, a Portuguese resident of Adelaide's inner city village of the southeast corner to show us where to eat, where to get coffee and where to shop in his urban pocket of Adelaide.
Nuno says: "The southeast corner of Adelaide is kind of a cool village in the city. It's close to the city, but has tranquility,"
He rode around the parks and streets of his adopted hometown to show us where's good to get coffee in Southeast Adelaide, where the best cheap eats are and to give us a little taste of his neighbourhood.
His recommendations on where to go and what to do in the Southeast corner of Adelaide are below the video, which is also available in Portuguese here.
Some of the things Nuno misses from his home country of Portugal are the cod croquettes and good meatballs. In this 90-second video neighbourhood guide he shows us where to find good tapas in Adelaide, which includes his favourite dishes.
